It seems a company the size of Microsoft won't let you change your billing date. Without cancelling your current subscription and causing problems, like no access to one drive. That's not very helpful and seems they don't really care to much about customers.

    Hello Andile Soka,

Hello! Thank you for your question. We understand that you seem to want to change the payment date for your Microsoft 365 subscription.

Currently, the payment date for a Microsoft 365 subscription is usually set automatically based on the date you enable the subscription, it automatically renews on the day it expires, ensures that the user's subscription is seamless, and by default cannot be changed directly through the user interface.

However, there are some indirect ways you can accomplish this. For example, you can cancel your current subscription and then re-subscribe on the date you wish.

Note that canceling your subscription will terminate your service at the end of the current billing cycle, so this may result in an interruption of service for a period of time.

After an interruption of service, your OneDrive will usually be locked (if you exceeded the 5GB of free space), and your OneDrive data will not be affected in any way if you renew your subscription in a timely manner within two months of losing it.

I hope this is useful and please feel free to ask any questions.

    Best regards,

Ian - MSFT | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
