I had my assignment and I was saving as I went along, when I closed down my laptop, I just saved however I did not properly save, I cannot find the assignment anywhere, except everything I did on Sunday was not saved, surly it must be somewhere

No it’s not on my 1 drive, which I find very strange
Saving to OneDrive is the default in many Office installations, so you could try your OneDrive account at https://onedrive.live.com. Are you able to find the correct version of the document there?
