Shared Onedrive Folder suddenly changed name and empty

For no apparent reason, the shared Onedrive folder with my wife has suddenly changed it's name and is empty. However when I go directly to the still existing shared drive using my internet browser's history, it's still there. But if I then click to go "up" one folder back into my personal folder, I'm left with the changed name/empty folder.

So basically the shared folder is: "My Name & Her Name"

In my personal onedrive, there is now a folder called: "My Name & Her Name - My Name's Laptop" and this one is completely empty.

What can I do to get back normal access to this shared folder?

    Hello Lucas,

Thank you for posting this issue on the community forum.

As per your description, you have shared OneDrive folder and suddenly it changed name and empty folder.

I would like to recommend you some of the following workarounds for troubleshooting:

    1. You can re-share the same folder which you want to share.
    2. Ensure that when you share folders with Edit permissions, people you share with can add the shared folders to their own OneDrive. This lets them keep the folder alongside their own folders and items, easily move items between folders, and more easily work on it offline. Any updates they make sync with the shared folder, so everyone with access to the folder is up to date.
    3. To share OneDrive files and folders: Share OneDrive files and folders - Microsoft Support

    Appreciate your understanding and patience.
