Hello Daniel,
That sounds frustrating! It looks like your Microsoft 365 files are opening in Safari instead of their respective desktop apps. This could be due to a change in settings or a recent update.
- Check Default App Settings – Make sure Word and Excel are set as the default apps to open files instead of Safari.
- Open Files Directly in the Desktop App – Try opening Word or Excel first and then use File > Open to access your document.
- Check Microsoft 365 Online Settings – If your files are stored in OneDrive or SharePoint, you may have an option to open them in the desktop app by default.
- Look for Updates – Make sure your Microsoft 365 and macOS software are up to date, as updates can sometimes reset preferences.
