Hello Weber! Thank you so much for reaching out, I am Harvie an independent advisor, and I am glad to assist you today with this issue.

I completely understand how frustrating this must be. Let me walk you through to some personalized steps to fix this and get your tools working again.

    1. Double check you are signed in with the correct account
    • Open Notepad.
    • Click the profile icon on top right corner.
    • Make sure you are signed in with the same Microsoft account that has your

    Microsoft 365 Personal subscription.

    • If not just sign out then sign back in with the correct email.

    To verify your subscription:

    1. Link your Microsoft account to Windows if not already
    • Open Settings > Accounts > Your Info.
    • If it says Local Account click Sign in with a Microsoft account instead.
    • Sign in with your Microsoft 365 email.
    1. Verify Copilot access is Enabled in Settings
    • Open Settings > Privacy & security > Search permissions.
    • Make sure Cloud content search and Microsoft account options are enabled.
    • Go to Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program and check if you are eligible for early features since some Copilot tools are rolling out gradually.
    1. Update Notepad and Windows
    • Open the Microsoft Store.
    • Click Library on the bottom left.
    • Find Notepad then click Update.
    • Also ensure your Windows is fully updated on Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
    1. Sign Out and Clear Cache
    • In Notepad click the profile icon and sign out.
    • Go to Settings > Accounts > Email & accounts and remove then re add the Microsoft 365 account under Accounts used by other apps.
    • Reboot your PC.
    • Open Notepad again sign in fresh.

Please try these steps and let me know how it goes. If you run into any issues, just reply back with the details.

    Best regards,

    Harry
