If the microphone is picking up more than just your voice, I believe it is internal, not a software problem, but a hardware problem.

Good afternoon everyone. I have a problem where the microphone works but constantly picks up background noise as shown in the screenshots, although there is silence in the sound recording, please help. I have reinstalled the drivers and the operating system, turned off the 'listen to this device' option, and disabled all enhancements. Sometimes this problem disappears purely coincidentally, but only for a few minutes.

2025-08-18T08:41:19.8066667+00:00 Maybe this is also due to the fact that the problem appeared along with the "no boot device" error and until I waited a few minutes for my SSD to appear and I logged in, it seems like people are now complaining about a similar problem.

Well, that doesn't mean it's a bug; the issue depends largely on the driver's noise level.
If it's a laptop or desktop, if possible, could you provide the laptop model or your desktop configuration?

You are using discord and your computer is also playing either games or videos or music in the background.
Is the guy you are talking to on the other end of discord complaining that they can hear these background noises? If they can hear your gaming sound, then you have to turn on AI noise cancellation. If they are not complaining at all, then why are you looking at a non-existing issue.

When it works normally, the green sensor moves instead of standing still. This problem is not only with Discord, even the built-in 'recorder', any online check - doesn't hear anything either

In the case of an Acer, you have the Acer Voice Console and Acer's feature to improve the microphone to reduce external noise and make it cleaner, it may be failing.

If it's just the internal microphone, go to Start > Settings > System > Sound > Sound Control Panel > Recording > Select Microphone Properties > Levels.
First, close Discord completely.

If possible, test the microphone at 100% volume to see if the error still occurs.
Lower volume reduces the sensitivity of voice recognition.

Test Discord to see if you can hear the sound and noise. If so, activate Acer's AI enhancement to see if it improves.
If it keeps cutting out, it means the internal microphone is experiencing hardware issues.
