Hi shelby,
Switching to OneDrive can definitely take some getting used to especially when you're working with a massive folder structure like yours. Scrolling through 1600 folders just to get to "W" sounds exhausting, so let’s make it easier.
If You’re Using OneDrive in File Explorer
Good news! You can still use the classic keyboard shortcut:
Click anywhere inside the folder list.
Type the first letter of the folder you want (like W).
File Explorer will jump straight to the first folder starting with that letter.
Make sure your folders are sorted alphabetically for best results.
If You’re Using OneDrive in a Web Browser
The web version doesn’t support letter-jump navigation like File Explorer, but here are a few tips:
Use the search bar to type "W" or "W*" to filter folders.
Sort folders alphabetically if the option is available.
Use your browser’s Find feature (Ctrl + F) to locate folder names on the page this only works for what's currently loaded.
Pro Tip: Speed Things Up
If you frequently access certain folders, try:
Pinning them to Quick Access in File Explorer.
Creating shortcut folders for each letter or category.
Using Favorites in OneDrive (web) to mark important folders.
Let me know if you’d like help organizing your folders or setting up shortcuts I’d be happy to walk you through it!
