Dear community,

good day.

Is it possible to have four or more domain controllers in one site?

    Dear Bjarne Petersen,

While the symptoms may appear arbitrary, they could be related to replication latency, DNS resolution inconsistencies, or resource constraints during promotion. We recommend verifying that all existing domain controllers are fully synchronized and that DNS records are properly propagated across the forest. Additionally, ensure that each new DC has reliable network connectivity and sufficient system resources at the time of promotion.

If the issue persists, enabling verbose logging during promotion and reviewing the dcpromo.log and setupact.log files may help pinpoint the underlying cause.

I hope this helps. Just kindly tick Accept Answer that others in the community facing similar issues can easily find the solution. Your contribution is highly appreciated.

    Best regards,
