Program files (x86) vs program files. Can I delete program files (86) since I am on w-10 and my computer is 64 bit???

I'm trying to get rid of unnecessary files from my computer and am curious if I can deleted/remove the x86 Program Files since my Windows 10 which is 64 bit?

    Both folders are needed. Program Files (86) contains 32-bit programs and files needed for their operation.
