Recently, my computer has been experiencing significant slowdowns, particularly during compilation tasks and command execution—compilation speed dropped noticeably. Checking Task Manager revealed a process named MSPCManager consistently consuming excessive CPU resources. After manually ending the task and stopping its service, I cannot find an uninstall option anywhere. Why was this software installed automatically? More importantly, how can I completely remove it?

You can uninstall MSPCManager through powershell. Here is the method of uninstallation:

    1. Open powershell as administrator in any terminal program you like.
    2. Type Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers -Name microsoft.microsoftpcmanager | Remove-AppxPackage -AllUsers

Hi there, this is Marc. Thanks for reaching out to the community.

To remove Microsoft PC Manager, first try the normal methods: go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps, search for Microsoft PC Manager, click the three dots, and select Uninstall. If you don’t see it there, open Control Panel > Programs and Features and check if it appears in the list.

If it was bundled with a Windows update or your PC manufacturer, it might not show in the usual uninstallers. In that case, download the app directly from https://pcmanager.microsoft.com, open it, and check if there’s an uninstall option inside. Some builds include a built-in uninstaller.

To stop it right away, press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager, right-click MSPCManager in the Processes tab and choose End task, then go to the Startup tab and disable it.
