While testing various prompts, we ran into this:

I was wondering how I can

Find out what caused the block
How to apply for unblocking or if that happens automatically
Make sure this doesn't happen to us in production Thank you!

Normally, these are blocks from backend automation either because of content filtering violation or over usage (save other health resource in case of heavy usage in certain)

We can find the last chat completion calls in Activity logs with custom Kusto query

How to apply for unblocking or if that happens automatically

We create support ticket and escalate to product team for unblocking the Azure OpenAI account in case of mis-flagging.

Please share the prompts in private message for validation

Make sure this doesn't happen to us in production

Tackle harmful content

Sanitize the inputs, Use resources like content safety to pre-filter the prompts

Initially investigation at my side did not show any blocks related to content filtering/over usage/Geo block at my side.

Have reached service owner and concerned team to help larger audience.

We are still waiting for RCA from product group, shall update you once we hear them

will try to get chat completion calls which started give 400 from backend with Kusto today for aiding in PG investigation.

Thank you for confirming that Prompt that were throwing 400 content filtering error are working fine without any issue

Done from PG

Unblocked Azure OpenAI account

Improved content filtering blocks

Done from Support

Checked for any Geo block/Content filtering/Over usage blocks (did not find any)

Status at Customer- Customer's azure OpenAI account is unblocked and working without any issue.
