Why my github education pack didn’t activate

I recently joined GitHub Student Developer Pack using my university email and received the confirmation email from GitHub Education.

According to the benefits, I should be able to activate the Azure for Students offer (100$ free credit without requiring a credit card).

However, when I check my GitHub Student Pack dashboard, the Azure offer does not appear at all.

I have never activated Azure for Students before with this university email.

Steps I followed

  1. Signed up for GitHub Education Pack successfully with my university email.
  2. Confirmed student status and received welcome email from GitHub Education.
  3. Logged into Azure for Students with the same university email.
  4. Did not see the option to activate the offer from GitHub dashboard, and when I try directly, it does not activate.

Issue

  • The Azure for Students offer is missing from GitHub Education dashboard.
  • I cannot claim the free credits even though I am a verified student and first-time user.

Expected Result

I should be able to see and activate the Azure for Students benefit through GitHub Education (or directly via Azure Students page).

Request

Could you please help me understand why the Azure offer is not showing up or how I can activate it with my verified student account? I recently joined GitHub Student Developer Pack using my university email and received the confirmation email from GitHub Education.

    Hello Mostafa Maher,

Understand that you have verified GitHub Student Developer Pack using your university email and also you received confirmation. However, the Azure for Students offer (which provides $100 in free credits without requiring a credit card) is missing from your GitHub dashboard, and you're unable to activate it even though you're a verified student and first-time user.

How to activate Azure from your GitHub Student Developer pack:

    • In the GitHub Offers page , browse through the available tools and locate Microsoft Azure. Click to generate your unique verification code.
    • Now go to the Microsoft website and click on “Activate Now” button where you’ll get a prompt to sign in. sign in with GitHub account or
    • Enter all your details and signup.

If still unable to signup, Contact Microsoft Support (Education Division)

    • Go to:  https://aka.ms/azsuportedu
    • Select Azure for Students
    • Explain that you're a verified GitHub Student Pack member but can't activate Azure

If you are still unable to activate the student offer, then the best option to get this resolved is to contact Azure subscription management support by raising a support ticket. The ticket enables you to work closely with the support engineers and get a quick resolution to your issue.
