Hi,
I installed 3 days ago an update suggested from Windows on My HP envx x360 AMD 7 Laptop and it asked me to restart the laptop. After restarting it showed me this error Stop Code: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESSOR_EQUAL (0xD1) and keeps restarting all the time. I tried to change the settings on the BIOS so I can boot from an USB but its not allowing me anyway to BOOT windows from USB. What can I do?

Hi ,
Try starting Windows while holding down the Shift key to enter recovery mode (WinRE). Select Troubleshoot > Select "Try to uninstall the update you installed." If this fails, select "Safe Mode." See if it will boot.
Now, if you want to boot from the USB flash drive, disable Secure Boot in the BIOS, save it, access the BIOS again, and change the order of the USB flash drive.

Thanks for the comment. I already tried those. After keeping SHIFT pressed it started the Automatically Repair and it never came to Troubleshooting. After showing Automatically Repair, it shows up this Message: "Your Device rn into a problem and needs to restart. We'll restart for you . Stop Code: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESSOR_EQUAL (0xD1)" and keeps doing the same thing in a loop.
I tried to deactivate secure boot on BIOS and place USB at first place, BUT when I save and exit all this options are reseted and Windows on USB wont be recognized. USB is fine because I tried the same thing on an old HP laptop and it started to install windows 11. Its really strange and I dont know what else to try. I also tried to rollback BIOS but also that broke and didnt happen.

Do the following: When it goes to the repair screen, turn it off and then on again to see if it displays the troubleshoot option.
See if there are advanced options?

Hi, I tried that also but is not jumping to advanced options at all. It just appears the same message all the time. I have an HP ENVY x360 Laptop 15-ee0167ng. It had windows 10 but it was able to update to Windows 11 and it was working fine so far.

The update may have probably caused a failure with some driver, which is why the failure does the following: when starting the HP, try pressing the F8 key and see if it goes to the Driver selection screen, select USB flash, press enter until you access the installation method.

F8 doesnt do anything but I pressed F9 and choose USB and it says: "The selected boot device failed. Press <ENTER> to continue" and it goes back. Its not jumping to Driver selection.

Access the bios, disable secure boot and enable CSM and apply and save when restarting, select the f9 key to select Boot, see if you have UEFI: USB Flash Driver

I already said that I tried that and its not working because the settings that I changed were reset and I try to boot from USB is not starting the windows, because the secure boot that I disabled, was enabled again. Thats the problem.

Well, if the settings aren't working, we can try updating the BIOS to see if it resets the settings and secure boot keys.
If you were going to create a USB flash drive to boot and update the BIOS, it's possible that the secure boot keys will be disabled, allowing you to boot from the USB flash drive.
