Windows cannot detect any networking hardware and the sound from the speaker is also turned off.

I have had problems with a very slow desktop computer after installing the latest updates. After they were removed, my computer now does not have an internet connection, and the sound output from the speaker is permanently muted, and I cannot reactivate it. The internet report quotes, "Windows did not detect any networking hardware". I am writing this from my laptop. Any help/advise on what to do about this problem would be most appreciated.

    Hi David, I am attaching the pics you asked for. Unfortunately, its not very easy to photograph a bright screen with a mobile phone, but it is more or less the information I gave you yesterday.

    Please let me know if there is anything else I need to check.

    Thank you.

    Hi David, Thank you for getting back so quickly. Unfortunately, I am having some trouble sending pictures with attachments from my phone to this old back-up computer email server that does not appear to receive them. On Device Manager, the Network Adapter is "Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11 bgn". On the property page, Device status, it says "this device is working properly, except its not working at all. On the System Information Msinfo32, System Summary, Adapter, it quotes " Can't collect Information. Cannot access the Windows Management Instrumentation Software. Windows Management files may be moved or missing, and the same information goes for all of the links in the System Summary that includes, Memory, Sound Device, Printing etc... I hope this helps but, I will keep trying to send you the pics if possible.

    Thanks again,

    Tony

    Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    I'll help you solve both problems one at a time to avoid confusion. Starting with the network.

    It is necessary to investigate this issue to understand the reason for it.

    Please do the following:

    1. Press "Windows + X" and select "Device Manager";
    2. Click on the "View" menu and select "Show hidden devices";
    3. Expand "Network adapters";
    4. If the network adapter is listed, right-click and select "Properties". Check if there is an error in "Device Status". If you see an error under Device Status, please share a screenshot.
    • If you can't identify your PC's network adapter, share a screenshot of the network adapters.
    • Use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool. Or take a picture of the screen using a camera or smartphone and share it.

    Also, share a screenshot of your system information.

    • Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.

    Maximize the window and use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool. Or take a picture of the screen using a camera or smartphone and share it.

    I await your reply.
