Unable to add my printer after uninstalling in Windows 10 but I can print from other devices. HP Smart is installed showing Printer is ready. Printer is listed for adding, but attempts keep failing. Uninstalled because of failure to print

Hi, I'm Bernard, a fellow Windows user. I'm happy to help!

I understand the issue you have. There is nothing to worry about. I am here to assist. This issue occurs when the HP driver is still installed on the Windows 10 PC and is having a conflict. To sort out the issue, kindly follow the steps below:

Remove HP Printer from the PC:

Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners

Click the HP Printer, then select Remove.

    Or

Press the Windows key + R, then type in:

    printui /s /t2

    Then hit OK

Click the HP Printer > click Remove.

Once done, try to add the printer again: Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners > Click Add a printer or scanner

If the issue persists, try to reinstall the HP Smart App, then check it again.
