Email synchronizing with Xfinity account and DAILY BACKUP

To enable auto-sync, go to Send/Receive Settings by navigating to File > Options > Advanced > Send/Receive Groups. Set a schedule for automatic send/receive every few minutes, for example, 10 minutes. Make sure the option “Include this group in send/receive (F9)” is checked.

Outlook treats all accounts (IMAP, POP, Exchange) the same for export purposes. The export process creates a .pst file from the data stored in Outlook, regardless of whether the original mailbox is on Microsoft 365, Xfinity, or another provider. To synchronize your email with an Xfinity account in Outlook, you can use server-side synchronization. This allows you to connect your email system with Microsoft Dataverse apps, such as Dynamics 365, and can also work with various email servers, including POP3 servers. However, it's important to note that if you are using a POP3 email server, you won't be able to synchronize appointments, contacts, and tasks.

For daily backups, Outlook does not have a built-in feature for automatic daily backups of emails. However, you can manually back up your Outlook data by exporting your emails to a file. This can be done by going to the File menu, selecting Open & Export, and then choosing Import/Export to export your emails to a .pst file.

If you are looking for a more automated solution for backing up your emails, you might consider third-party backup solutions that can integrate with Outlook and provide scheduled backups.
