Can't access my original team that I set up last week when I installed teams

  • On the left is me trying to access my team called Stades.
  • On the right is the "we ran into a problem" page giving me the option to select (part of my email address) and this also "runs into a problem" and asks me to sign in as Stades or Weston park (guest) so, I'm going round in circles.

I can access the Weston park team but I'm unable to access my original Stades team. I can't add a new team because my only entry point is thru the Weston park login and I have no admin rights for this.

What do I need to do to roll back to where I was and be able to set up new teams.

Further information: -

I'm using the desktop app and I've repeatedly tried uninstalling (twice with no success because it still starts from the bad place when I reinstall) and fully closing down as best as I can. Same problem every time.

    Hi AndyBritton-0161,

Does anyone else in your organization have the same issue as yours?

It recommends you try to log in Teams web client and check if it can switch between different tenant normally.

In addition, delete your credentials in Credential Manager and try again in desktop client.

If still no luck, ask the admin of Weston park to delete your guest account in their environment. Then, try to log in your own tenant.

Hi, I'm putting an answer down because the comment link doesn't work. I can fill the details in but it just doesn't allow me to post a comment. I wasn't at the work/character limit I might add so I don't know what's going on there.

Does anyone else in your organization have the same issue as yours?

I set up teams to run on my private laptop. There is no organization. Or rather "I am" the organization in that when I set up teams, the process asked me for a company name and I used my own company's name (Stades) because microsoft gave me no option other than to use a company name during the process of setting up teams. That was about 2 weeks ago.

To check that the installation worked, I asked my partner to try and video call me. She sent me a link to Weston Park (who she controls) and I joined one of her teams. We successfully communicated.

If I log in the the Teams web client I get "an error occurred" message (momentarily) then it says "You're currently not part of any teams". I'm unsure what the credentials manager is but, if it's top-right where I choose a team then I get the error I've just mentioned and it drops back to "weston park" as my only team.

I'll try your last point later.

Thank you for your quick response. Fortunately, I was able to resolve my issue a couple of hours ago. Again, many thanks.
