Hi,

I have a laptop that was previously installed with the Azure VPN client. Due to a certificate issue, we removed the VPN, but after that, we tried several times to reinstall it, but it won't install. What could be the problem?

Hello @ Dinesh Chaturanga Weeratunga,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

It sounds like you're having some trouble reinstalling the Azure VPN client after removing it due to a certificate issue. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the installation problem:

Could you please manually add the VPN connection details and then attempt to connect to the VPN? It should work successfully.

If you're having trouble reinstalling the Azure VPN client after removing it due to a certificate issue, it could be related to leftover configuration files from the previous installation. To resolve this, you should delete the old VPN client configuration files from the following directory:

    C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Network\Connections<VirtualNetworkId>

After deleting these files, try running the VPN client installer again. This should help in successfully reinstalling the Azure VPN client.
