Managing personal Outlook.com account settings, security, and privacy
Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.
To be safe, don’t use the links in the email, open a new browser and go directly to https://account.microsoft.com then sign in to any Microsoft accounts you own and review the recent sign-in activity here: https://account.microsoft.com/security
If you see a login you don’t recognize (such as from Russia), change your password immediately, enable two-step verification, and mark it as “This wasn’t me.” If you don’t see any suspicious activity, the email may have been sent to an old or unfamiliar alias, or it could be a well-made phishing attempt. In that case, it’s safe to delete the email once you’ve confirmed your account is secure directly on Microsoft’s website.
Let me know what you find and we can continue from there.
