Hello,

I am unable to sign in to our Microsoft/Azure tenant due to an MFA issue.

I do not receive approval notifications in the Microsoft Authenticator app, and SMS verification is blocked.

The sign-in screen shows the message:

“Sorry, we're having trouble verifying your account. Please try again.”

Available options shown are:

  • Approve a request on my Microsoft Authenticator app (no notification received)
  • Use a verification code
  • Text +XX XXXXXXX35 (SMS does not arrive / appears blocked)

Because of this, I am completely locked out of the account and cannot manage subscriptions.

Active subscriptions (Minecraft Education) have been charged, but I cannot access the tenant to manage them.

Thank you for your help.

Kind regards,

Hello Dragan Dobric,

Thank you for sharing your details(user's email address, tenant id, phone number, country code and country) with us over Private Message

I have reached out to the engineering team to unblock MFA for your account. They have now unblocked it from the backend and removed the bad reputation on it. You should be able to log in to the Azure Portal without any issues.

Please try logging in and check if you can complete SMS authentication without any errors. Let me know if you encounter any issues.

I hope this information is helpful. Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.
