For Office 2016 and later, you can't reuse a product key. You will have to install Office using your associated account. On the new computer, go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and install from there.

You should uninstall from the older computer, if possible.

If activation fails on the new PC, try phone activation. Use the phone number for your region from the article at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/-telephone-activation-is-no-longer-supported-for-your-product-error-when-activating-office-9b016cd2-0811-4cb3-b896-5a6a13177713 (even if you don't see the error message mentioned in the article).

To find the product key for your Office program purchased in 2016, you can check the following locations:

    1. Email Confirmation: If you purchased Office online, check your email for a confirmation message that may include the product key.
    2. Office Packaging: If you bought a physical copy, the product key is usually found inside the packaging, on a card or sticker.
    3. Microsoft Account: If you linked your Office purchase to a Microsoft account, you can sign in at https://account.microsoft.com/services to view your product key.
    4. Retailer: If you purchased Office from a retailer, you might also find the product key on the receipt or in your account with that retailer.

If you are unable to locate your product key using these methods, you may need to contact Microsoft support for further assistance.
