I had to reset my laptop to factory settings. During the rest process several Programs were removed, o0ne of them being Office 2024. I downloaded the product, but when I tried to activate it I got an error message stating that this software corporate customers and could possibly be counterfeit.

I purchased a new office 2024 via the microsoft store. However I am still getting the same error message.

Hello, you can check it here: https://account.microsoft.com/services to confirm your subscription is listed. If activation still fails, uninstall all old Office versions using Microsoft’s uninstall tool, restart, and reinstall Office 2024 from the Microsoft Store. For ongoing errors, contact Microsoft Support directly to verify your purchase and fix the activation.

How do you actually contact Microsoft Support directly? I just keep going round in circles with being sent to pre-existing answers which don't help

It sounds like you're encountering an activation issue with Office 2024 after resetting your laptop. Since you mentioned that you purchased Office 2024 via the Microsoft Store, here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:

    1. Ensure Correct Version: Verify that the version of Office you installed matches the license you purchased. If you have a different edition or version installed, you may need to uninstall it and install the correct version.
    2. Use the Microsoft 365 Uninstall Troubleshooter: If there are remnants of previous installations, running the Microsoft 365 Uninstall troubleshooter can help remove them completely. After that, restart your device and reinstall Office 2024.
    3. Check Your Microsoft Account: Make sure you are signed in with the same Microsoft account that you used to purchase Office 2024. Sometimes, activation issues arise if you are logged into a different account.
    4. Contact Microsoft Support: If the problem persists, it may be beneficial to reach out to Microsoft Support for assistance, especially if you are receiving messages about counterfeit software. They can help verify your purchase and provide further guidance.
    5. Check for Updates: Ensure your Windows operating system is up to date, as sometimes updates can resolve compatibility issues with Office products.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the activation issue with Office 2024.
