Installation problem with win 11

Did a clean re-install of win 11 Pro but once it finished it had become win 11 Home. It activated as home. It was Home when I purchased the desktop so I used my Pro licence to change it. Can't find my old Pro disk to change so is there anything I can do to change it back.

Thanks Peter.

    Hi Peter,

If Windows 11 Pro came preinstalled on the old computer, it's an OEM license. It's not transferrable to another computer.

On the new computer, you can upgrade to Pro via the Store. Windows 11 Home to Pro typically costs around $99 USD.

    Hi Peter,

You don't need the Windows 11 Pro CD because the Windows 11 USB setup disk contains all the consumer editions, including Pro. During the clean installation, the setup may have used the UEFI-embedded product key (which may be the Windows 11 Home Edition) and used it automatically.

Where was the Pro license purchased? If you have a valid Pro product key, you can use the Change product key option in Settings to upgrade to Pro.
