Please check and try this on a different browser or by using inPrivate or Incognito browsing mode and if it will still be the same, you can reach out to the support team at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/contactus/ and then click on Microsoft 365 and then click Get Home Support and then type in Billing question and click the blue button that says Sign in to contact Support and login and proceed from there. Kindly take note that the forum does not have access to user accounts to be able to check and intervene with account related and billing side of things.

Hello, good day and thanks for your question. To add to the above which is inclined on the business side, may I check and confirm if there is an error whenever you are trying to remove the payment method that you have on your account?

To remove a credit card linked to a Microsoft 365 business account, first ensure it is not in use by any subscriptions or billing profiles.

Follow these steps in the Microsoft 365 admin center:

    1. Go to the admin center (admin role required).
      • If using Simplified view: Select the Products tab, then select View payment methods.
      • If using Dashboard view: Go to Bills & payments and select the Payment methods tab.
    2. Find the payment method (credit card) that needs to be removed and select the More actions button (three dots).
    3. Select Delete.
    4. In the Delete payment method wizard:
      • If you see the message "No subscriptions linked to this payment method", select Delete payment method, then Close.
      • If the card is attached to subscriptions or billing profiles, under Choose payment method to move subscriptions, either:
        • Select Select a payment method and choose an existing alternative payment method, or
        • Select Add a new payment method, enter the new card details, and proceed.
      • On Review details and delete, confirm the replacement payment method and associated subscriptions, then select Replace and delete, and Close.

    Important constraints:

    • A payment method can only be deleted if it is not attached to any subscription or billing profile.
    • If there is a Microsoft Entra Free subscription in the billing account, the last payment method on file cannot be deleted or detached. To remove the last payment method in that case, the tenant must be deleted first, following the guidance in Delete the organization.

If the card still cannot be removed after moving all subscriptions, verify whether it is the last payment method on an account that includes an Entra Free subscription.
