Hi

I constantly receive junk emails into my Hotmail address inbox that have no content. These are easy to spot on the Android Outlook app as it specifies that the message has no content. In the desktop version it does not specify this so harder to spot. I've tried to set up various different rules but all have been unsuccessful at blocking these mails. The rules also won't allow to set up a rule with leaving message content. Any help/suggestions at blocking these messages? Thank you for any help provided.

Are these emails landing in Inbox or Junk?

Turn on strict filtering. Go to Settings, Mail, Junk email, enable “Only trust email from Safe senders,” then add only trusted contacts. Keep marking these emails as Junk to improve filtering. You can also add a rule using common subject words to delete them automatically.

Have you enabled “Only trust email from Safe senders”?

Turn it on in Settings, Mail, Junk email, and keep only trusted addresses in the Safe list. Create one rule using common subject words and set it to delete. Keep marking spam as Junk and valid emails as Not junk so the filter relearns and improves.

    Hi,

Do the emails come from the same sender or domain?

Outlook rules do not filter empty message content. Use Junk email settings instead. Go to Settings, Mail, Junk email, then add the sender or domain to Blocked senders. Mark those emails as Junk to improve filtering. You can also create a rule using sender or subject, then move them to Junk or delete automatically.
