Other features or issues related to Microsoft Partner Center
The issue is caused by using a personal Microsoft account where Partner Center expects a work/school (Microsoft Entra ID) account, even if both use the same email address.
Use these steps to get into Partner Center and retrieve the MPN ID:
- Sign out of all Microsoft accounts in the browser.
- Go back to the Partner Center sign-in page from the welcome email.
- When prompted to choose an account, select the work or school account version of the address (not the personal/Microsoft account). If only the personal account appears, choose Use another account and enter the work account credentials that were used when registering for the partner program.
- If still signed in as a personal account after step 3, try a different browser or a private window, and sign in only with the work account.
- Once successfully signed in with the work account, Partner Center will load and the organization’s MPN ID will be visible in the account settings.
If the correct work account cannot be found or access is still missing, create a support ticket for Partner Center (this can be done even when sign-in fails) so support can check and align the correct account type with the partner profile.
