How should I delete CapabilityAccessManager?

Dell Inspiron Laptop from 2022

Context: So around a month ago I realized I was running out of storage. I managed to reclaim ~80 GB when I turned off Dell SaRemediation after it went haywire. Then the next day I realized that capabilityaccessmanager.db-wal was around 15GB so I followed the steps here and deleted it: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-au/answers/questions/5815087/capabilityaccessmanager-is-devouring-my-hard-drive

This was just a temporary fix though and after some searching I uninstalled SmartByte which fixed the issue of the folder being writed to in the background.

Issue: While I was figuring out how to delete it the .db-wal file went back up to 500mb and i'm not sure if it will clean itself up due to it's bloated file size. I would just delete it again but the last time I did that my microphone stopped working for some reason.

TLDR;

Should I wait to see if CapabilityAccessManager will clean itself up?

Or should I go ahead and delete it? If so, should I delete the .db-wal file or the entire folder?

And will deleting the file in safe mode and restarting actually make CapabilityAccessManager clean itself up?

    Hi! I would not delete CapabilityAccessManager itself, since it is part of Windows’ privacy permissions system for microphone, camera, location, and similar features. Because your .db-wal file is now around 500 MB and you already removed SmartByte, I would wait and monitor it for a few days instead of deleting it again right away.

    If it starts growing rapidly again, the safer approach is not to delete only the .db-wal file during normal use, since doing that can affect Wi-Fi, screen capture, and microphone-related functions. A better approach is to perform a clean boot, then reset the entire C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\CapabilityAccessManager folder and restart.
