    Hi!

Are you using the laptop's touchpad or an external mouse?

    • If you are using an external mouse, disconnect the mouse and reconnect it.
    • Another test is to try another mouse to confirm that your mouse is faulty.

If you are using a touchpad, download and install the drivers for your laptop.

Try these steps in order on Windows 11:

    1. Check the mouse hardware
      • Unplug the mouse (or USB receiver, if wireless), wait a few seconds, then plug it back in.
      • Try a different USB port.
      • If using a USB hub, plug the mouse directly into the PC instead of the hub.
      • If the mouse is wireless, make sure batteries are fresh/charged and there is no dirt blocking sensors.
    2. Test the mouse on another device
      • Connect the mouse to another PC and check if the lights come on and the cursor appears/moves.
      • If it does not work on another PC (and the correct driver is installed there), the mouse may need to be replaced.
    3. Check for driver issues and updates
      • Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
      • Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
      • Right‑click the mouse device, select Update driver, then follow the prompts.
      • Also run Windows Update:
        • In the taskbar search box, type check for updates and select Check for updates.
        • Install any available updates, including driver updates.
    4. If still no cursor at all
      • Use the keyboard (Tab, arrow keys, Enter) to navigate while troubleshooting.
      • If no mouse or touchpad works and no device appears in Device Manager, contact the device manufacturer for hardware service.
