I pay for this program annually yet I get messages offering the product all the time.

Why is this happening?

    Hello Geoff Edwards

I understand how confusing this can be, especially when your subscription is already paid annually.

Can you provide a screenshot of the message and let us know whether it appears in email or inside an Office app?

In most cases, this happens for one of two reasons: either the messages are promotional offers, which are managed separately from the paid subscription, or the Office apps are still showing a subscription/activation prompt because the account or renewal status has not refreshed yet.

You can try these quick checks:

    • If the messages are promotional emails: sign in to your Microsoft account and review your communication preferences to turn off promotional emails you do not want.
    • If the messages appear inside Word, Excel, or PowerPoint: fully close all Office apps, reopen them, and make sure you are signed in with the same Microsoft account that owns the subscription.
    • Check your subscription status online: confirm that the subscription shows as active under your Microsoft account.
    • If you renewed with a retail card or product key: make sure the key was fully redeemed, because payment alone may not complete activation until the code is applied.

Feel free reply back to this post and update me on this issue, I'll be happy to help.
