Copilot conversation history is stored and synced in the service backend and, when signed in, is shared across devices. Copilot retains up to the last 18 months of interactions and exposes them via the conversation history UI on web, desktop, and mobile.
The described behavior (history visible only up to a specific timestamp, consistent across devices and after cache/sign‑out resets) indicates a backend-side issue with the account’s conversation history rather than a client or device problem. There is no client-side control to rebuild or unlock the history index; this must be handled by Microsoft support/engineering.
Because in-app escalation is not working in this case, the next step is to open a support request through the Microsoft 365 / Copilot support channel associated with the personal Microsoft account and explicitly reference a Copilot conversation history problem (history truncated at a specific date across all devices). Support can then escalate to engineering to investigate and repair the account’s conversation history state.
While waiting for resolution, existing visible chats (including pinned ones and older history) remain usable, and new chats will continue to be created, but only service-side remediation can restore missing recent history if it is recoverable.
