Hi, I've used microsoft money for many years (originally had a disc) have updated computer and now can see its been discontinued. I'm so used to using this programme and wondered if there's any way I can download it?

my new computer does not have a disc drive

I've been looking over google but not having much luck

Microsoft Money was discontinued back in 2009, and Microsoft has since removed the official download from their website. Since it hasn't received any updates in over 15 years, running older versions on modern Windows can lead to compatibility issues, errors, or unexpected behavior. 

That said, Microsoft did release a free version called Microsoft Money Plus Sunset Deluxe before pulling the plug entirely. It runs well on Windows 10 and 11, and many users in the community have been using it without issues for years.

Microsoft Money was discontinued years ago, and has received no updates of any kind - including security updates. Do you really want to trust your personal finance to software that's an easy target for hackers?

On a new Windows PC without a disc drive, there are two general options for installing older software:
