removing outbyte ads

I log on and I always have an outbyte ad asking if I want to updae my drivers

How do I remove this

You should check if the software is installed. In Settings, go to Apps > Apps and features and uninstall the app. If it is not listed in the installed apps, would you be able to post a screenshot of the ads? Imight be able to determine whether it is a website ad or from the software.

Outbyte driver pop-ups are typical of unwanted or deceptive software. Removing them involves uninstalling the program and, if needed, scanning for unwanted software.

1. Uninstall Outbyte from Programs and Features
   1. Click Start > Control Panel.
   2. Click Programs > Programs and Features.
   3. In Uninstall or change a program, look for Outbyte, Outbyte Driver Updater, or any program you don’t recognize that matches the pop-up.
   4. Select it and click Uninstall, then follow the on-screen steps.
   5. Restart the PC if prompted.
2. Use the built-in uninstaller if it’s not listed
   1. Click Start, then Computer (or open File Explorer).
   2. Open C:\Program Files and, if present, C:\Program Files (x86).
   3. Look for a folder named Outbyte or similar.
   4. Open that folder and run the uninstall file if it exists (for example, Uninst.exe, Uninstall, or Uninstall <program name>), then follow the prompts.
   5. Do not delete the folder manually if there is no uninstall file; that can cause system problems.
3. Scan for unwanted or deceptive software
   1. Open Windows Security and run a Full scan to check for malware or unwanted software.
   2. Optionally, use Microsoft’s tools for deceptive/unwanted software and malware removal as described in the references below.
4. If pop-ups persist If the ads or pop-ups continue after uninstalling and scanning, treat the software as unwanted/deceptive:
   • Run an additional malware/removal tool from Microsoft as described in the references.
   • Review installed programs again and remove anything you do not recognize that appeared around the time Outbyte was installed.

After these steps, the Outbyte driver update ads should stop appearing when logging in.
