    Hello,

How did you obtain your license initially?

Did it come with the device preinstalled, or did you purchase it?

If you purchased it, did you purchase from Microsoft, or from third party?

Is it originally a Win7/8 key?

Error 0xC004F211 means Windows detected a significant hardware change (such as a motherboard replacement) and can no longer match the existing Windows 11 license to the current device.

To resolve this on Windows 11 Home:

    1. Open Activation settings:
      • Select Start > Settings > System > Activation.
    2. Try the Activation troubleshooter again:
      • On the Activation page, select Troubleshoot.
      • If the troubleshooter can’t fix it and offers a link such as I changed hardware on this device recently or reactivate after a hardware change, follow that path and sign in with the same Microsoft account that was linked to the license before the hardware change.
    3. If there is a product key from before the hardware change:
      • In Activation, select Change product key, then enter the Windows product key that was previously used on this device.
    4. If Windows originally came preinstalled on the PC and the motherboard was replaced:
      • A new Windows license may be required. In Activation, select Go to Microsoft Store and follow the steps to purchase a new license.
    5. If activation still fails or no suitable device/license is found:
      • Use the Get Help app from the Activation page or the contact options under Get help with Windows activation errors to reach customer support and request assistance with reactivating after a hardware change.
