    Hello,

Please type msinfo32.exe in the search on the taskbar and hit enter, then tell me what it says next to System Model?

Also, when you launched Camera app, it doesn't give error?

Follow these steps in order on the Windows 11 ASUS laptop:

    1. Test if the problem is only in one app
      1. Select Start > type Camera > open the Camera app.
      2. If the preview works here but not in other apps (Teams, Zoom, etc.), fix the camera settings inside that specific app.
    2. Fully restart and update Windows
      1. Select Start > Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
      2. If Advanced options > Optional updates shows a camera or driver update, install it.
      3. When updates finish, select Start > Power > Restart (do not just wake from sleep).
      4. Test again with the Camera app.
    3. Run the Camera troubleshooter
      1. Select Start > Settings > System.
      2. Scroll to Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
      3. Find Camera and select Run.
      4. Apply any fixes it suggests and test the camera again.
    4. Check antivirus or security software
      1. Open the installed antivirus or security suite from Start.
      2. Look in Settings / Tools / Protection for any webcam or camera protection feature.
      3. Temporarily disable that protection and test the Camera app.
      4. Re‑enable protection after testing.
    5. Reinstall the camera driver
      1. In the taskbar search, type device manager and open Device Manager.
      2. Expand Cameras (or Imaging devices if present).
      3. Right‑click the ASUS webcam entry > Uninstall device.
      4. If available, check Delete the driver software for this device > OK.
      5. In Device Manager, select Action > Scan for hardware changes.
      6. Wait for Windows to reinstall the camera, then restart the PC and test the Camera app.
    6. Switch to the in‑box UVC driver (if still not working)
      1. Open Device Manager again.
      2. Under Cameras (or Imaging devices), right‑click the webcam > Update driver.
      3. Choose Browse my computer for drivers.
      4. Choose Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.
      5. Select USB Video Device > Next.
      6. Close, restart Windows, and test the Camera app.
    7. If the camera still fails in all apps
      1. Confirm once more in Camera app (Start > Camera). If it shows black or cannot start even after all steps above, this points to a hardware or manufacturer‑specific driver issue.
      2. Go to the ASUS support page for the exact laptop model and install their latest camera/webcam driver, then restart and test again.

If after reinstalling drivers (step 5/6) and testing in the built‑in Camera app the camera still does not show any image, contact ASUS support, as the issue is likely hardware or firmware related.
