Using skype credit

I have a Skype account with $22.81 Skype Credit, but I cannot make calls.

When I try to place a call, Skype requires me to update my billing address. However, the billing page does not load (blank page / light.account.microsoft.com fails), so I cannot complete the required verification.

As a result, my Skype Credit is unusable and all calling is blocked.

Details:

  • Country: Germany
  • Skype Credit: $22.81
  • Issue: Billing address update required but page does not work (blank/unusable)
  • Result: Cannot place any calls despite having credit

I have tried different browsers and devices, but the issue persists.

Please reset or repair my billing profile so I can use my Skype Credit to make calls.

    Hi @timea gates

Thank you for providing the details.

Based on what you described, the issue does not appear to be related to your Skype Credit balance itself. Since Skype requires a billing address update before allowing calls, but the billing page fails to load across multiple browsers and devices, the problem may be with the Microsoft billing profile associated with the account rather than with Skype Credit.

Because the billing verification cannot be completed, Skype is unable to authorize outgoing calls even though credit is available on the account.

At this point, community members do not have access to billing profiles or Skype account verification settings, so we cannot reset or repair the billing profile from here.

I recommend contacting Microsoft Billing Support and explaining that:

➜ Skype Credit is present on the account.

➜ Calls are blocked pending a billing address update.

➜ The billing page fails to load and cannot be completed.

➜ The issue persists across multiple browsers and devices.

➜ As a result, the available Skype Credit cannot be used.

Microsoft Support should be able to review the billing profile and determine whether there is an issue with the account's billing configuration or verification status.
