Question

request to speak with live agent. my subscription expires today, 6/30/26. I signed up for recurring payments. Will my payment be deducted on 8/1/26 or do I manually have to make a payment today? I do not want to double pay.

If you have enabled recurring billing on the Microsoft 365 subscription, then payments will be automatically deducted form your account when the current subscription expires, you do not need to make a manual payment.

If recurring billing is already turned on for the subscription, no manual payment is needed today. When recurring billing is on, the subscription is automatically billed on the renewal date (monthly or annually, depending on the plan), and service continues without interruption.

To confirm the exact renewal/charge date and avoid double payment:

1. Go to the Subscriptions page.
2. Sign in with the Microsoft account used for the subscription.
3. Under Subscriptions, check:
   • Whether a circular arrow icon or similar indicator shows that recurring billing is on.
   • The next charge information, which shows when the next payment will be taken and for how much.

If recurring billing is on and a next charge date is shown, payment will be taken automatically on that date; do not pay manually to avoid double paying.

If recurring billing is off, the subscription will expire on the date shown unless renewed manually.
