I am trying to reactivate an expired subscription. The Reactivate this subscription page says, "There was an issue submitting your request. Try again or contact support for assistance." I need help reactivating the subscription.

    Good day Jimmy

Just to gently clarify before going any further, this forum is separate from Microsoft Support. Forum users, moderators and Microsoft external staff cannot access subscription details, billing records, payment information or directly escalate billing cases.

As your subscription type wasn’t specified, I’ll assume you’re using a Microsoft 365 Business subscription and provide the steps accordingly. If you’re using a Microsoft 365 Personal or Family subscription instead, please let me know and I’ll share the relevant steps.

    Step 1: Verify your permissions

Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center

Confirm that your account has the Billing administrator or Global administrator role.

If not, please contact your organization's Global administrator for assistance. In case you do not know who is your Global admin, kindly refer to this article: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support

Step 2: Check the subscription and payment status

In the Microsoft 365 admin center, go to Billing > Your products and review the status of the affected subscription.

Then go to Billing > Bills & payments.

Pay any outstanding balance and update the payment method if required.

    Step 3: Reactivate the subscription

Return to Billing > Your products > Open the affected subscription.

Select Reactivate or Reactivate subscription, then follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process.

Step 4: Contact Microsoft Support if the error persists

For billing related issues, the Microsoft Billing Support team can further investigate and assist with the subscription reactivation process.

In the Microsoft 365 admin center, go to Support > Help & support.

Turn off the "Support Assistant" feature.

Use the keyword "Support" to quickly bypass automated suggestions > Select Contact Support.

Please provide the subscription name, subscription ID, current status, a screenshot of the error message and a brief description of the issue.

I hope this information is helpful. If you have any questions or need further support, please don’t hesitate to reach out at any time.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
