When will the Auto Refresh option be returning, it seems I have had it three times and then disappears after new versions of the Beta Channel?

Microsoft 365 Insider | Excel | Windows

The supported information is that PivotTable Auto Refresh is currently available only to participants in the Microsoft 365 Insider program, and it is described as a feature that can appear in newer Excel versions for PivotTables connected to local workbook data. The context does not provide a release schedule or a commitment for when it will return in specific Beta Channel builds.

If the option appears and then disappears across Beta Channel updates, the supported takeaway is that feature availability can vary by Insider build. As a workaround, use Refresh data when opening the file:

    1. Select the PivotTable.
    2. Go to PivotTable Analyze.
    3. Select Options.
    4. On the Data tab, check Refresh data when opening the file.

Manual refresh is also available from PivotTable Analyze > Refresh or Refresh All.
