Hello,

Could you please help me to understand how SQL Managed Instance cost is calculated ? I see drastic difference in the estimated cost for Standard Tier and Premium Tier compute hardware for General Purpose Service Tier. To my surprise, Premium Tier is very cheap compared to Standard Tier for same service Tier.

I checked the prices for SQL MI at below URL and it shown Premium Tier is expensive than Standard Tier, as expected.

at https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/azure-sql-managed-instance/single/

Is there anything I am overlooking ?

Appreciate your insightful response, thank you !!

Hi Anilkuma,

Finally, I have an answer for you. Premium Series were charged for the Compute only in November. This was a part of the preview offering.

Thank you for your patience with me.
