Dear All,

We have 2 systems with Builds 1909, but there are differences in patches installed on both the systems.

Any reason or explanation how SCCM decides about providing the patches for applicable systems and any article which explains the same.

Any pointers would help.

There is a million reason why the patch will not match. At the end of the day it doesn't match what patches are installed only that they are fully update.

    Hi,

    Thanks for posting in Q&A.

Before we deploy software updates to client computers in Configuration Manager, start a scan for software updates compliance on client computers. For each software update, a state message is created that contains the compliance state for the update. The state messages are sent in bulk to the management point and then to the site server, where the compliance state is inserted into the site database.

Here is the article about providing the patches for applicable systems:

Hope my answer will help you.
