Windows Server 2022 not serving content

My IIS appears to be running when I view the III Management Console but it is not serving content.

If I attempt to call up http://localhost/test.htm (or https equivalent) the browser goes into a permanent wait state and nothing happens.

If I request a non-existent page I don't get an error.

In services I can't find the IIS service (looked for Internet Information Services and Microsoft IIS).

How can I correct this please?

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out. I can understand you are having issues related to IIS.

    1. Please make sure there are other ports like 80 or 443 used by any other applications or services.
    2. Please make sure IIS Role and its Management Feature is installed.
    3. Disable any Antivirus program or Windows firewall you may have for temporary purpose.
    4. Please verify IIS default site is binded to port 80
