Hello,

Is there a way to reset a BIOS password (on a laptop) if the password is unknown to me?

I tried the following from one of the TS in MDT:

Command line: cmd.exe /c x:\tools\cctk.exe --setuppwd= --valsetuppwd=%currentpassword%
Start in: x:\windows\system32

All I get is "the setup password provided is incorrect." But I'm successful if I enter the real password instead of %currentpassword%

I'm running CCTK 4.2.1.0
Do I need to use HAPI?

Thaaanks!

    Hi, @lupinlicious

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

CCTK is a tool of Dell, I would suggest you contact Dell for a dedicated support. You may get a better support from there.
