I am following those steps @ https://blog.lsonline.fr/2020/12/05/sharepoint-modern-calendar-view-for-events/ to create a modern SharePoint calendar view for our "Events list". then i embedded the modern list view inside a modern page using Embed web part, but when i double click on the event inside the calendar modern view, i will got this download dialog, instead of opening the related events details:-

    Hi @john john ,

This issue cannot be reproduced from my end. There is no official document addressing similar issue.
May be you could try it from the following points:

    1. Test on a new page.
    2. Try to clean up browser cache & cookies.

No solution from me, but I want to clarify this is happening on the Classic "Event" calendar and then adjusting the list settings to make display as a modern format. Double clicking on the event item in the modern calendar will download a 0 byte file instead of opening a form to view the details. I like the calendar due to it being able to display on other parts of our hub-and-spoke system if we use the Events web part, otherwise, I'd just use a modern list and call it a day. Also, conditional formatting doesn't appear to work on the "Event web part."
