Getting error "Request type not supported on watch. Open your phone to approve." while approving Authentication request on Apple Watch

Hi,

I have an enterprise account configured on Authenticator App on my iPhone. When the Authentication notification pops up on my Apple Watch and I click on approve button, it says "Request type not supported on watch. Open your phone to approve".

I have to type the 2-digit code every time from my iPhone to approve the request. Why can't I do that from Apple Watch?

    Agreed. Please enable me to enter the numerical code from my Apple Watch.
