.NET Framework setup verification tool, cleanup tool and detection sample code now support .NET Framework 4.6.2

I have posted updated versions of the .NET Framework setup verification tool, the .NET Framework cleanup tool, and the sample code to detect .NET Framework install states that support detecting, verifying, and cleaning up the .NET Framework 4.6.2.     Does .Net framework 4.6.2 is supported in Windows Small Business Server 2011 ( SBS 2011 ) ?

      Hi Senthilvel R - I did some web searches and it doesn't appear that the .NET Framework 4.6.1 or 4.6.2 are supported on SBS 2011. I'm not positive that is the official answer though, so I'd recommend posting a question on the .NET Framework setup forum at https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/home?forum=netfxsetup to see if someone there can confirm that.

    Hello,I have some trouble with .NET Framework, that is required to use some features. I tried to uninstall it, and then instal it again, but I keep getting the ".NET framework 4.6.2 is already installed" error (not the exact same text but I'm not english native). Though it's not installed if I take a look to my Programs & Features pannel. I don't know what to do, find nothing working on the internet, and as you seem to work a lot on .NET framework, I wonder if maybe you had a solution ?Thanks

        Greeting i have the same problem as well i have win 8.1 the reason i was doing this is because when netframework 4.6.2 was installing i accidentally task killed it when trying to close another application. After i tried to install this again it says have already installed it. I tried your removal framework for this version but still say its on my computer. Then I tried to use your program in order to uninstall Netframe work as a whole but still it says that its on my computer please help me. Thank you

          Hi Jakie - I'm not sure what is being left behind on your PC that makes the .NET Framework 4.6.2 installer think that it is already installed. Can you please use the tool described at http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2007/11/21/6458047.aspx to collect all of your setup log files, upload the file named %temp%\vslogs.cab that this tool will create to a file server (such as http://onedrive.live.com), and then reply back here and provide a link that I can use to download your log files and take a closer look?

    In Win7Pro SP1 I can't install .Net2 to 3.5 and some applications seems to need one or another. Don't know what to do, it's causing various trouble with games, applications and so on. The verification tool shows no problem with .Net from 4 to 4.6.2. and cleanup tool is not listing 2.0 to 3.5. Any advice?

    plz help me when i isntal the net framework 4 it says installation did not succeed (net framework 4.0 has not been installed because HRESULT 0x8000222 ) what should i do plz help me ! BROTHER plzzzz help me !

    Hi AaronLike Senthivel my query relates to SBS 2011, and I am getting an error when opening the SBS console:"To run this application, you must first install one of the following versions of the .NET framework: v4.0.33019"The registry indicates up and including v3.5 is installed, but I try to install v4 I get:"KB2468871v2 does not apply, or is blocked by another condition on your computer."I read on a Microsoft Answers forum a user resolving their issue which caught my interest and brought me to your blog:"However, I've managed to resolve the issue after researching how to edit the Registry, by adding the entries identified as missing from the Registry by Aaron Stebner's dot.net Framework verifier. The error message does not now appear, and the app starts up correctly."The Framework setup verifier only detects v2 - v3.5, although msscore.dll versions are v4.0. Do you think there might be information that has been removed from the registry?

      Hi AaronReference the post above, no support required :) I used the .NET Framework "web installer" and it has resolved my issue.
