Revise and submit a project budget

You can revise a project budget as many times as necessary. The sum total of all the approved revisions for each category is shown in the Project budget revision form. You cannot see the amount of any individual revision if the budget has been revised more than one time.

  1. Click Project management and accounting > Common > Projects > All projects.

  2. Select or open a project. On the Action Pane, on the Plan tab, in the Budget group, click Project budget.

  3. In the Project budget form, on the Action Pane, on the Budget tab, in the Revise group, click New revision.

  4. On the Costs and Revenues FastTabs, in the Revision amount column, enter the amount to add to or subtract from the original budget for each category.

    Note

    Amounts to be subtracted from a budgeted amount must be entered as negative numbers.

  5. If necessary, click New to add more transactions to either of the FastTabs, or click Delete to remove transactions.

  6. (Optional) To allocate the revision, on the Action Pane, on the Budget tab, click Allocate budget.

  7. Click Submit to submit the revised budget to workflow for approval.
