Set up identification types

You must set up identification types before you can enter identification information for workers. When you add identification information for a worker, you must associate the identification information with an identification type. The following list contains some examples of identification types:

  • Social Security Number (SSN)

  • Visa

  • Passport

  • Driver’s license

  • Birth certificate

  1. Click Human resources > Setup > Workers > Identification types.

  2. Click New.

  3. Enter a description of the identification type.

  4. Select the Protect identification type check box if the identification type should not be deleted.

    Note

    This control is not available if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.

  5. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for additional identification types, as necessary.
