Configuration

  • The Configuration Wizard provides a user interface for configuring various aspects of Commerce Server 2009, such as its Administration Database and Direct Mailer Service.

  • The Configuration command line tool provides a way to perform silent configuration and automate deployment configuration throughout an enterprise network.

  • The SharePoint Commerce Services Configuration Wizard deploys the Default site and Web Parts and activates their features in SharePoint.

Site Packager

Site Packager is a deployment tool that you use to package your site and its applications and resources into a single file, and then move that file to another environment. You use it to package your Commerce Server 2009 site (including the IIS metabase settings), files from the system file, resources from the Administration database, and SQL Server databases into a single file. You also use it to unpack the Commerce Server 2009 site (or sections of it) onto other computers.

Package Files

Package files are specially formatted Commerce Server files that are complete or partial commerce sites that are deployed using Site Packager. Commerce Server 2009 includes three package files: the Default site, the CSharp site, and the Data Warehouse package.
