My MSN: My MSN doesn't update

If the content in modules on your My MSN webpage doesn't update, it may be because your Internet browser is loading the page from files on your computer's hard disk, instead of getting the up-to-date version of the webpage from the Internet. To troubleshoot this problem, follow the steps for your Internet browser to clear your Internet browser's cache, and then go back to the My MSN website.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6

  1. In Internet Explorer 6, click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options.

  2. On the General tab, click Delete Cookies, and then click OK.

  3. Click Delete Files, select the Delete all Offline content check box, and then click OK.

  4. Click Clear History, and then click Yes.

  5. Click OK.

Windows Internet Explorer 7

  1. In Internet Explorer 7, click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options.

  2. On the General tab, in the Browsing history section, click Delete.

  3. In the Temporary internet files section, click Delete files, and then click Yes.

  4. Click Close, and then click OK.

Firefox 1.5 or 2.0

  1. In Firefox 1.5 or 2.0, in the upper toolbar, click Tools, and then click Options.

  2. Click Privacy.

  3. Next to Cache, click Clear, and then click OK.

  4. Close Firefox, and then re-start it.

Safari

  1. In Safari, in the upper toolbar, click Safari, and then click Empty Cache.

  2. Click Empty.

  3. Close Safari, and then re-start it.

Netscape Navigator 8

  1. In Netscape Navigator 8, click the Tools menu, and then click Options.

  2. Click Privacy, and then expand Cache.

  3. Next to Cache, click Clear.

  4. Expand Cookies.

  5. Next to Cookies, click Clear.

  6. Click OK.
