Set up a trial
You can sign up for a trial in one of two ways:
In the new Priva portal (preview), under Trials and recommendations, select View all trials and recommendations. Under Purview and Priva trials, select Try now on the Microsoft Priva card.
In the classic Microsoft Purview compliance portal, select Trials in the left navigation. Under Purview and Priva trials, select Try now on the Microsoft Priva card.
Note
Check your Microsoft 365 admin center settings to facilitate enrollment in the trial. In the Microsoft 365 admin center, go to the Settings > Org settings > Services page, and select User owned apps and services. Then check the box to let users start trials on behalf of your organization. When setup of Priva finishes, which takes about two minutes, you can go back and uncheck the box to disable this setting. You can also start the trial without adjusting your org settings by going to the Billing > Purchase services page and searching for Priva.
Eligibility and licensing
Organizations with E3 and E5 licenses in Microsoft 365 and E1, E3, and E5 licenses in Office 365 are eligible to start the Priva trial. Your trial licenses are automatically applied to your organization and last for 90 days. During this time, you have unlimited access to risk management features and up to 50 subject rights requests. If you've already purchased a subscription for one product, you can start a trial of the other.

Buy a Priva subscription
During or after your trial, you have the opportunity to purchase the Privacy Risk Management and Subject Rights Requests for data within Microsoft 365 solutions, individually or together. For more information, see Get started with Priva and the Microsoft Priva service description.
Your data from the trial period will be retained for 30 days. If you purchase a subscription after 30 days, data and policies will be reset, and all new activity will begin on the date when your subscription becomes active.
